Department Details

Welcome to the Department of Physics at Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya, Monirampore, Barrackpore. This department was started along with the establishment of the college to meet the academic interest and to increase the awareness and understanding of the importance and impact of physics in our society.

Our faculties share their interests ranging from experimental to theoretical aspects of physics. The course taught in the department of physics is six semester B.Sc. in Physics (Honours and General). Our college is affiliated by the West Bengal State University and the syllabus of this course also followed accordingly. Our department puts emphasis on students towards theoretical as well as experimental fields, often across conventional boundaries between disciplines that provides a firm basis for future.
