Physical Education is an integral part of the educational system.
In the year 2015, Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya has opened the door to the students to select Physical Education as elective subject under West Bengal State University. The department is located in Surendra Nath Campus of Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya on the banks of Ganges. Flower gardens, various fruit trees and a small pond has enhanced the beauty of the campus as well as the Physical Education Department.

The department has qualified teachers. Percentage of lectures delivered and practical classes are handled by the competent and experienced faculty with Football coach, Volleyball coach, Kabaddi coach and Cricket coach. It is structured as environment-friendly separate department.
The hidden creativity of the students is manifested through the achievements through participation in University and inter college tournaments.
