Department Details

The Education Department of Mahadevananda Mahavidyalaya is an age old renowned Department. Presently there are Five Professors in the department. The Head of the Department is Prof. Sanghamitra Basu Roy.

There are two streams in the department — Honours and General. There are 40 seats for Honours students and near about 300 seats for General students are allocated. Many alumni of the department are presently employed in academic institution and other services.

The glory of the department lies in the fact that many alumni have worked as professor in the college in past and present. Every year the department scales new heights in achieving First Class in every semester along with Honours in subject successfully. Apart from academics the students take part in social work and various extra-curricular activities.
